Pocket Scrap ArT

This is a book cover that I cut up into small canvases to collage on. I just love to recycle and use old books!!

Butterfly Fairies

The idea for these little ones came to me when I found a strip of matboard
(yes, that I couldn't throw away!) Next, the idea became make little pocket (travel) art for my artfest housemates. Then time just got away from me with all the projects I was trying to accomplish and also my other persona, aka Mom/Honey, uses a LOT of my time!
Well, I finally got to finish these little pocket scrap art pieces!
(I'm only 2 months behind!)
Last step is to package these up with lots of love and send them off.......
Actually, when you think about it, I'm doing pretty good that I went back and finished them!!

Scrap ArT

ArtFest

Here's the art I made at this year's ArtFest. My instructors were great and I would definately reccommend taking classes from all of them: Jane Wynn, Laurie Mika, and Michael de Meng.
Wonderful experiences with so many cool people and arT!!
Thank you to all the people who work to bring it to us and to all who come and create!!
Cheers, Lisa

Shrink Necklace Transformed Again

Here is one of my first shrink art necklaces....

I've altered it a few times, but now, I think maybe.....

Altering the Ever Changing Adventure

I just love to alter, take apart and play with found junk! EVERY thing has potential in my eyes!
My son Brandon is ever on the look out, leaving his found treasures at my keyboard/alter. He's quietly honoring me and my art......he's altered my heart!!

ArT a la Michael de Meng

Here's our first art exhcange..... a la Michael de Meng!
Kim made the altered doll and I made the altered polaroid.
We both took classes from Michael de Meng at ArtFest, 2006.
Great class, fun and relaxed environment plus cool junk to play with!

ArT Sisters

I met Kim, my art sister at ArtFest, 2004.
That year Judy hosted a journal round robin.
(I will post some pictures of that book later.......it's incredible!)
Anyway, Kim and I were next to each other in the mailing order, so we ended up keeping in touch with each other. Then at ArtFest, 2005 Kim suggested we do a monthly art swap and that's basically how we became art sisters!
Originally we had an open theme, creating anything our muse desired, but this year we decided to base our theme on artists' style we both admire.
It will be fun to see and explore how each artists's style influences our own art.

Birdhouse Dreams

This little mixed media collage was made for my art sister kim grant.
