ArT SiSteR Trade 4 Kim

This month our artist inspiration is Lynne Perrella. I originally made Kim the little home nest out of an old flour sifter, but I decided to submit it to Somerset Studio and see what happens. This paper doll art is what I am sending her now and later she will get the little home nest after I get it back....make sense?
These trades are amazing art challenges and so much fun!!

Here's my ArT sister trade for Kim. I used part of a real nest.
The eggshell my son Brandon found in the backyard.
The artist inspiration is Lynne Perrella.
I took her class at ArtFest called Finding your True North.
It was amazing to create and feast on her tidbits of wisdom!!

ArtFest Altered Deck

Another suit complete, this one is for Kim.....now only two more to go!
Altering playing cards is fun. I followed Kim's advice and painted the cards. Then I went at it adding collage elements, some scraps, a stamp or two, brads, eyelets and even stitches. I love seeing them all together!

A Nest 4 Me and You

Today I found this wonderful old flour sifter at the salvation army.
I plan on making it into a shrine. I can see a little bird's nest tucked
into the cup along with some other bits....making us a cozy little home.
