Dear Lisa,

Hi! It's so fun to see that little text element from my Somerset "art-to-borrow" paper in your post! :o) In case you're curious, it was originally from an old Italian novel, called The Castle of Fratta. (There's a bit of useless information for you!)

Hope you're having a good summer,
love your blog,

Rachel Emilie Jackson

I love it! I also like how the woman is larger than the man. Ha!

Lisa, when your jewels came on sale via post script I tried to buy one of your pieces (the one listed at $29), I was on the computer 10 minutes after shop was open, but alas, today they emailed me to say it had already been sold! Someone got there in the 10 minutes before!!!!! I guess your work is that popular :). They said I will get first dibs at the next sale. How fun!
I love seeing your work all over Somerset magazines.

Dear Rachel,
I so enjoy your article in S.Workshop on Romantic Effects; however I have not been able to find anyone that sells "emulsion paints." Have you any ideas? thank you so very much, Marlene
PS Your work is beautiful.

For Lisa and Rachel, I adore your work in Workshop. However, can you tell me where I can find "emulsion paints." I live in a small town and cannot find it here. Any suggestions would be most helpful so I can practice "Romantic Effects!!"
Thank you, Marlene

Hi Marlene,

"Emulsion paint" is the generic term for house-painting paint (such as Benjamin Moore etc.) - at least, it is in England. Sometimes this is called latex paint in the US.

I buy the small trial-size pots so I have a full range of colours very cheaply. They create lovely chalky effects on paper.

Enjoy the rest of the book.
Best wishes,

Rachel Emilie Jackson.
